It was only the second time that the Children’s Car Rally was being held in Chennai and the 2018 edition of this rally was a roaring success. Organised by iSpark Holistic Happiness Studio in association with the Madras Motor Sports Club, the Children’s Car Rally was held on Sunday, November 18, 2018.

iSpark Holistic Happiness Studio, a studio to the children, for the children, and of the children, focuses on building a healthy, happy and holistic life for them as well as their parents through the development of body, mind, and soul. Efficiently run by Manisha Kanoria Lohia and her son Vedant Raj Lohia and supported by a team of efficient personnel, the studio formulates plans and executes several unique programmes.

The Children’s Car Rally was held in aid of Acid Survivors & Women Welfare Foundation (ASWWF), and part of the proceeds from the rally would go in aid of supporting acid attack victims.

This year the event saw a huge participation of over 150 parents and children. The rally was organised in the form of a ‘Treasure Hunt’, in which children aged between 4 and 15 years participated along with their parents. Each team could consist only of members from one family and so could also be termed as a great family endeavour to promote unity and the attitude of sharing among them. For obvious reasons, the parents were on the wheel while their enthusiastic children were the ‘Navigators’ working on the clues.

The rally flagged off from the ‘Savera Hotel’, Mylapore at 9 AM and the participants were required to reach ‘iSpark Holistic Happiness Studio’ at Gopalapuram after completing the 'Treasure Hunt', within the stipulated time.

In the end, the participants were entertained through fun programmes and games organised by iSpark and a freestyle dance session was also organised by Raack Academy. Finally, the participants were treated to a sumptuous lunch sponsored by Pantry d’Or.

This edition witnessed a huge support and sponsorship from corporate India. Main sponsors for the event were Sathyabama University. The food sponsors included Pantry d’Or and Uncle Sam's Kitchen. The refreshment partner was Fruit Shop on Greams Road. The dance partner was Raack Academy and the radio partner was Radio One.

Manisha Kanoria Lohia, Founder & CEO, iSpark Holistic Happiness Studio informed, “The thought behind initiating a car rally of this sort is to de-addict both the parent and the child from the world of technology into a world with family.”
