On December 17, 2017 the Sadguru graced The Westin hotel with his presence for witnessing the worship of Linga Bhairavi Mata. On that auspicious occasion, he addressed the gathering with his lovely and insightfull speech where he talked about the Bhairavi mata. He said that he heard about the Linga Bhairavi Mata during the early 90’s. It took him a great deal to make his family understand it as before that he never preached the idea of god.

Unique in her manifestation in the form of a linga, the eight feet tall Devi was consecrated by Sadhguru as a powerful energy form with a solidified mercury core. The consecration of Linga Bhairavi was conducted through prana pratishtha, a rare mystical process that uses life energies to transform mere stone into a deity. Refined and raw, powerful and colourful, earthy, humane and mother-like, Linga Bhairavi is an absolute woman of ultimate proportions, fierce and compassionate at once. Representing the creative and nurturing aspects of the universe, she is the ultimate manifestation of the Mother Goddess, powerful and all-encompassing. Whether a devotee seeks to acquire, enjoy, or transcend the physical and material aspects of life, Devi is the Ultimate Giver of all that and more.

Sadguru has extraordinarily connected the concept of tool with god. He feels that every machine has been created by human beings to do those works which they cannot. Linga Bhairavi is a yantra and is the same as a tool. This has also been created for a purpose. Linga Bhairavi unites all three fundamental dimensions of Divine as well as the basic qualities of existence within herself. Whether a devotee seeks to acquire, enjoy or transcend the physical and material aspects of life, the Devi will assist in whatever one’s aspirations may be. He also feels that survival is not the only purpose of human life. The human life has to be utilized fully.
