NABARD estimates Credit Potential of Rs. 157497.71 crore for West Bengal

State Credit Seminar organised on January 9, 2019 in Kolkata. In the seminar the State Focus Paper, prepared by NABARD containing the aggregation of District-wise as well as Sector-wise credit potentials in a holistic manner, was launched by Honourable Minister-in-Charge, Cooperation, government of West Bengal, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Finance, Government of West Bengal, CGM, RBI, Hauzel Thangzamuan, MD and CEO UCO Bank, MD and CEO Allahabad Bank, ED United Bank of India, CGM, SBI and Dharni Dhar Patra, Vice Chancellor, Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswa Vidyalaya. Senior government officials and zonal or regional heads of Commercial banks, MD State Cooperative Bank and representatives of FPOs were also present on the day.

United Bank of India celebrates 69th Foundation Day

United Bank of India celebrated its 69th Foundation Day with great fervour and festivity. The programme was commemorated by remembering and honouring the founding fathers of the Bank with garlanding their statue. On the occasion of Foundation Day, the Bank launched “United Gift Card” for the customers which can be used for purchase of gifts from physical store or online platforms. On the occasion Managing Director and CEO, Ashok Kumar Pradhan focused on reduction of NPA, cost control and enhancing profitability of the Bank.

Allahabad Bank signs corporate agency agreement with SBI life

Allahabad Bank signed a “Corporate Agency Agreement” with SBI Life Insurance Company Limited. The agreement was signed by S.V.L.N. Nageswara Rao, General Manager, Allahabad Bank and Prem Vidyarthi, Regional Director, SBI Life in the presence of CH. S. S. Mallikarjuna Rao, MD and CEO, Allahabad Bank and Sanjeev Nautiyal, MD and CEO, SBI Life. Speaking on the occasion Rao, MD and CEO, Allahabad Bank stressed the bank’s objective of offering wider choices of life Insurance products to the customers under one roof and also augmenting the NFNI income of the Bank.

Royal Enfield launches Interceptor INT 650 and Continental GT 650 Motorcycles

Royal Enfield launched its highly anticipated twin motorcycles in Kolkata. The Interceptor INT 650 to be available starting at Rs. 2,50,000/- and the Continental GT 650 to be available starting at Rs. 2,65,000/- (ex-showroom, Kolkata).
