Premium Hatch - Altroz launched by Tata Motors

Marking its entry into the premium BSVI ready hatchback segment, Tata Motors launched – the Altroz. The Altroz will be available at an introductory price starting from Rs. 5.29 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs. 6.99 lakhs for the diesel version. According to Pratap Bose, Vice President – Global Design, Tata Motors, “We are delighted to announce the launch of our premium hatchback – The Tata Altroz. The Altroz is the second Tata as well as Indian car, to have received a 5-star Global NCAP rating representing the Gold Standard in Safety, Design, Technology, Driving Dynamics and Customer Delight.” Reetesh Vashist, Zonal Sales Head- Passenger Cars - Tata Motors was also present at the launch.

Oil industry organises SAKSHAM-2020

Oil Industry in India under the guidance of Ministry of Petroleum & natural Gas is observing SAKSHAM-2020 (Sanrakshan Kshamata Mahotsav) from January 16, 2020 to February 15, 2020 and will be conducting various awareness campaigns for general public as well as industry to spread message on oil and gas conservation. The event was inaugurated at Science City Auditorium, Kolkata in West Bengal by Jagdeep Dhankhar, Governor of West Bengal; in the presence of A. K. Gupta, representing State Level Coordinator (SLC) for West Bengal and CGM (O), Indian Oil, West Bengal State Office and A. C. Ghosh, Regional Level Coordinator (RLC) for Oil Industry and CGM (HR), Indian Oil, Eastern Region.

Apollo employs sterilisation protocols

To keep away OT infections from turning fatal, Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata has equipped its Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) as per international standards. Such steps have ensured extremely low OT infection rates. Present at the occasion, Andrew Cserey, International Business Development Manager, SteelcoSpA, Italy, highlighted the procedures followed in CSSD. Tapan Kumar Das, Head, CSSD, AGHL and Examiner of WB University of Health Sciences, at the occasion shared the importance of CSSD along with significance of each step, machines and how absence of it can be fatal for any patient.

ITC announces vitamin fortification of its pouch milk range

Aashirvaad Svasti, the fresh dairy portfolio brand from ITC Ltd. has announced vitamin fortification of its three pouch milk variants - Aashirvaad Svasti Toned Milk, Double Toned Milk and Creamy Milk in Kolkata. ITC Foods undertook the vitamin fortification programme in alignment with the suggestions made by FSSAI to fortify milk with Vitamin A and Vitamin D.  Sanjay Singal, COO, Dairy & Beverages, ITC Ltd, said, “Milk is one of the best and purest forms of nutrition and we are confident that through this move of vitamin fortification, we will play a crucial role in further improving the nutritional health of our discerning consumers.”

JIS Group will host the ASIA WEST FINAL of ICPC

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT) of JIS Group was selected as the only nodal centre in India and hosts the ASIA WEST FINAL of ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) International Coding Olympiad during January 14-15, 2020. Professor (Dr.) Santanu Kr. Sen, Principal, GNIT stated, “This contest had the participation of students from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Pakistan and includes 160 participants. The contest involved hardcore programming using C/Java/Python. Student participants from 16 IITs were here. This year also, one team from GNIT got selected and went to Kerala.”

Neotec Hub and GINSEP organises Startup Bridge to German

Neotec Hub, a Startup incubator and accelerator from Ambuja Neotia along with GINSEP (German Indian Startup Exchange Program) organised a day long workshop ‘Startup Bridge to Germany’ for Indian Startups to explore opportunities in Germany and connect them to the German Startup ecosystem and vice-versa. The German Indian Startup Exchange Program (GINSEP) is a non-monetary platform initiated by the German Startups Association and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) to strengthen and foster exchange between India and Germany in the Startup space
