Allahabad Bank partners with Universal Sompo General Insurance

Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Ltd announced the launch of the online portal for its partner Allahabad Bank in presence of the bank’s MD and CEO, CH. S. S. Mallikarjuna Rao. The insurance company will issue the company’s co-branded health insurance product Allahabad Health Care Plus (ABHCP) on a real-time basis for their bank’s savings account customers. It is a family floater policy where the premium is charged as per the age of the proposer. Commenting on the launch O.N.Singh, Chairman, Universal Sompo General Insurance said, “I am confident that the bank customers will stand to gain the benefit of being offered real-time solutions to provide protection for health contingencies.”

SAIL’s stainless steel garbage bin to develop smart garbage stations

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has taken a unique initiative to make the country clean and beautiful by launching smart garbage bins made of Stainless Steel, which will be able to send a signal to the collection vehicle. A smart garbage station will be set up at Bhikaji Cama Place of the country’s capital Delhi, which is being developed by SDMC (South Delhi Municipal Corporation). Environment friendly garbage bins made in SAIL’s Salem steel plant will be installed in the underground RCC pits in this smart garbage station, which will not only collect unbridled garbage of the city, but will also save people from stink and diseases.

SBI introduces card less ATM withdrawals with YONO Cash

YONO SBI, India’s first integrated omni-channel banking and lifestyle platform launched ‘YONO Cash’ for cardless withdrawal of cash at more than 16,500 ATMs across the country, including 914 ATMs under Kolkata Circle covering West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman. The product was launched from Mumbai on March, 15, 2019, by Rajnish Kumar, Chairman, SBI, and was also rolled out for Kolkata Circle on same day. Speaking on the launch, Rajnish Kumar said, “The initiative will also address their concern of our users using debit cards at the ATMs for cash withdrawals by eliminating possible risk associated with it.”

Arvind launches water components & O&M services business ‘KaiGO’
