Hindware Appliances launched IoT appliances for Connected Homes

Somany Home Innovation Limited, makers of ‘Hindware Appliances’, has expanded its Internet of Things (IoT) product portfolio with addition of futuristic, intelligent, and connected home appliances like - Elara iPro Water purifier and Hindware Agnis iPro Air purifier. It has Wi-Fi Direct feature and is equipped with intelligent geo-fencing technology. Rakesh Kaul, CEO and Whole Time Director, Somany Home Innovation Limited (SHIL) said, “With addition of two more IoT products, we are strengthening our initiative of massification of technology providing futuristic devices and solutions. The possibilities for connected devices and IoT technology at home or in our workspaces are endless, and we are working to bring more such smart products to the market.”

 

HomeLane launches its first Experience Centre

HomeLane is expanding its operations in West Bengal and has launched its first Experience Centre. This centre offers eight concepts and designs covering kitchens, bedrooms, living rooms and dining spaces. Srikanth Iyer, Co-founder and CEO of HomeLane said, “West Bengal shows promising growth potential for HomeLane as the local demand for home interior design service has increased with the record rise in new home purchases, especially in Kolkata. We are offering Kolkata’s homeowners the best of modern concepts combined with indigenous local nuances delivered within 45 days.” At the HomeLane Experience Centre in Kolkata, a customer can also see the actual products that will be used in designing their home including a library of materials that could be used in furnishing, upholstery etc.

 

TRA releases Brand Trust Report (BTR) 2020

Dell has achieved top slot as India’s most trusted brand second year in a row in TRA’s Brand Trust Report (BTR) 2020, the tenth edition in its series. It is followed in second place by Mi Mobiles, which also leads the Mobile Phone Category for the first time this year. Samsung Mobiles secures the third place, followed by Apple iPhone and LG Televisions taking fourth and fifth ranks, respectively. N. Chandramouli, CEO, TRA, said, “The Covid times have been harrowing for brands, and even consumers have been in an extended state of anxiety for multiple reasons. The impact of the pandemic is visible on the trust placed in brands, leading to a dethroning of many erstwhile category leaders.” 

 

Shree Cement’s initiative ‘NAMAN’ will provide free cement to the families of Armed forces Martyrs

Lt. General Alok Kler, PVSM, VSM, GOC-in-C, Southern Western Command, Indian Army has formally released the ‘Project Naman’ - a National initiative of Shree Cement to provide free cement to the families of Armed Forces Personnel martyred in the past twenty years. The release of Naman Project comes as a run up to the Vijay Diwas which is observed each year on December 16, to mark India’s victory in 1971 Bangladesh War and remember the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Alok Kler said, “This kind of recognition is rare and unique. This initiative in true sense has cemented a place for the company in the annals of the army history for the welfare for our martyrs and I sincerely hope that other large industries take a page out of this book.” 

 

Toyota Kirloskar Motor brings ‘Dream Car Art Contest’

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced the introduction of ‘Toyota Dream Car Art Contest’ in India. The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest kicks off with the National Contest to be held online from December 2020 to January 2021. The top three winners of the National Contest in each category will have the opportunity to represent India at the World Contest to be held at Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan in March 2021. Naveen Soni, Senior Vice President, Sales and Service, TKM said, “The thinking behind the contest is that every great idea is born in the glimmer of a dream and at TKM, the intention is to help nurture the creativity of the future generation of great inventors, thinkers and dreamers. In this quest, we hope to find the next auto visionary.”

 

First-ever Anti-bacterial toothbrush launched by Colgate

Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited has announced the launch of Colgate Zig Zag Anti-Bacterial Toothbrush, a first of its kind in the Zig Zag portfolio. The brand has signed Ayushmann Khurrana as the brand ambassador for the launch.
