CK Birla Hospitals – CMRI and BMB pledge to build a fairer, healthier world this World Health Day

Annual events of CK Birla Hospitals aim to raise awareness towards both physical and mental health issues with a particular theme. This year 7th April brings up the importance of global health to the mass by celebrating World Heath Day. The theme for 2021 is “Building a fairer, healthier world”. During lockdown, CK Birla Hospitals – CMRI and BM Birla Heart Research Centre has set a benchmark by organising a week-long blood donation camp as an attempt to secure the future of the society. The hospitals have succeeded in saving number of lives while conducting crucial cardiac surgeries. Dr. Simmardeep Gill, COO of CK Birla Hospitals said, “We have taken a pivotal role during the peak of pandemic to provide the best quality healthcare to the citizens. We became the first hospital in East India to introduce Robotic Orthopedic surgeries. We aim to drive our commitment towards vaccinating the community and pledge this World Health Day to build a fairer and healthier tomorrow”.

Thomas Cook India expands its footprint in Uttar Pradesh

Thomas Cook (India) Limited has expanded its footprint in Uttar Pradesh with the launch of a new Gold Circle Partner franchise outlet in Varanasi. This expansion augments Thomas Cook India’s distribution and reach in Uttar Pradesh to seven consumer access centres: one owned branch and six Gold Circle Partner (franchise) outlets. The Thomas Cook India’s Holiday Readiness Report reveals two key insights: significantly 67% respondents are keen to travel in the next six months and a sizeable 84% prefer reputed brands, especially when travelling in the Covid era. BYJU’S to acquire AESL through a strategic merger

BYJU’S announced its strategic partnership with Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), a leader in test prep services. Gia shares how research-based gemmological education is the key to skilled workforce in the Indian Gem and Jewellery Industry

The ICC Gems & Jewellery Summit 2021 was a knowledge-sharing event for the Indian gems and jewellery industry. Eminent speakers discussed transformation in the gems and jewellery industry, with engaging sessions on topics like ‘Vision 2025 – Local, Vocal & Global’, ‘Honouring the Karigars’, ‘Diamond and Platinum – Trust, Transparency and Consumer Focus’, among others. Apoorva Deshingkar, Sr. Director – Sales, GIA India, held the keynote address. Deshingkar shared that research-based gemmological education was the key to skilled workforce in the gem and jewellery industry. “Businesses need to infuse young talent from within the families as well as the large talent pool available to them” he further added.
