Allahabad Bank opens 43 Kisan Pragati Kendras

Allahabad Bank has launched project “NAVODAYA” encom-passing several customer centric initiatives. One of these is establishment of “Kisan Pragati Kendra” (KPK) for hassle free processing and sanctioning of high value investment credit to boost the agriculture sector. The Bank has set up altogether 43 KPKs pan India with defined catchment area to handle agriculture investment proposal of `10 lakh and above. Through these KPKs the Bank shall implement uniformity in process of appraisal and sanction by competent and experienced manpower.

IFC leads $550 million ECB investment round in L&T Finance

L&T Finance Ltd. will receive $550 million in an ECB investment round anchored by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group and BNP Paribas, Citibank and DBS Bank Limited. In the first tranche, the investors have contributed $275 million. IFC is bringing in $125 million, which will be utilised by L&T Finance to expand its firm equipment. Dinanath Dubhashi, MD & CEO, L&T Finance Holdings said, “Lending scientifically and methodically to customers who do not have access to last mile credit is the next growth opportunity for NBFCs. We are investing in technology, data and analytics to lead this change.”

Dabur Odomos Pledges to #MakeIndiaDengueFree

Odomos from the House of Dabur announced the launch of its mega initiative, #MakingIndiaDengueFree. Under this, Odomos will be reaching out to over 10 lakh people across the country, educating them about prevention from mosquito bites. Flagging off the initiative in Kolkata, Dabur conducted an awareness session amongst more than 200 kids from Hira Lal Primary Government School in the city to educate the students, teachers and parents about effective prevention from Dengue. Electrosteel Steels unveils rebranded steel product

Electrosteel Steels limited (ESL), part of Vedanta Limited, launched their rebranded steel portfolio - TMT Bars, Wire Rods, Ductile Iron Pipes, Billets and Pig Irons. The company plans to enhance its production capacity from 1.5 MTPA to 3 MTPA in Phase-1 of its expansion plan, over the next two years.
