Senco Gold and Diamonds rolls out ‘AHAM’ collections

Senco Gold & Diamonds rolled out a new brand campaign ‘Shine On’ featuring former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Sourav Ganguly and Suvankar Sen, Executive Director, Senco Gold & Diamonds unveiled the new range of ‘AHAM’, the new men’s collections. Speaking on the occasion of the launch, Suvankar Sen said, “This is the spirit of ‘AHAM’ which means ‘self’ or ‘ego’.” Sourav Ganguly said, “All collections are uniquely designed by karigars that embody the spirit of self-confidence and the desire to succeed”.

Apollo Gleneagles organises second Arthroplasty Course

Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata launched their second Arthroplasty Course with the theme of ‘Primary Total Knee Replacement and Hip Replacement’, a three-day instructional course using comprehensive case studies. Dr. B.D. Chatterjee, Director Orthopedics, the Course Director said, “We have designed the course to share ideas around the latest techniques, tools, and technology.” Dr. Joy Basu, Vice President, Administration, Kolkata added, “The live surgical demonstration gives the participants a practical demonstration of the procedure”.

Hewlett Packard announces $500 Million investment in India

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced its plan to invest $500 million in India over the next five years. Antonio Neri, President and CEO of HPE and a member of the US-India CEO Forum said, “The Modi 2.0 administration’s vision of a $5 trillion economy is impressive”. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said,”It is a matter of great assurance that they are making big investments in India both in manufacturing and in R&D”.Som Satsangi, MD, HPE India said, “We will continue to enhance our ability to help customers use technology to achieve business goals”.

Financial results for Burger Paints

Revenue for operations for the quarter ended on June 30, 2019 was `1585.2 crore representing an increase of 15.5%. The company has implemented new Accounting Standard 116 (‘Ind AS 116’), leases with effect from April, 2019. The standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended and all the presented comparative periods are in compliance with Ind AS 116.

JSPL Foundation’s Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman, 2019

Regional level Jury meeting for third Edition of Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Sammanby JSPL Foundation, the CSR arm of steelmaker Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL), was held at Kolkata. The jury committee was composed of Snehasis Sur, President, Press Club of Kolkata, Debashis Mullick Chowdhury, Artist, Dr. Dipayan Dey, Chairman, South Asian Forum for Environment, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, Former CGM, NABARD and Sujoy Roy, Secretary, CINI-SWS. Shallu Jindal said,“The Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman is an effort to honour the unsung heroes who brought a change in the society”.

Fino Payments Bank launches Gully Gully Fino initiative

Fino Payments Bank (FPB) has brought convenient and simple banking to West Bengal through bank’s phygital model. FPB has appointed 3632 merchant points and 100 BPCL outlets in the state with around 101 merchants’ points operating in Kolkata. These points are neighbourhood small business stores such as kirana, mobile repair, beauty salon, and stationery shop etc.

Keventer Crosswinds awarded the ‘Best Residential Project’

Keventer’s premium residential project, Keventer Crosswinds has been adjudged the Best Residential Project under ‘Ultra Luxury Segment’ for the year 2019 at the CNBC-AWAAZ Real Estate Awards - East Zone. Launch of ‘Project Stain-Less Roads’

Jindal Stainless Foundation and International Road Federation (IRF - India Chapter (IC)) have partnered to impart road safety habits among school-going children in Delhi, under the CSR program titled ‘Stain-Less Roads’. The first phase of this programme was launched on July 30, by Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Abhyuday Jindal at NC Jindal Public School, Punjabi Bagh, in the presence of Director General, Border Roads Organization (BRO), Lt. General Ravi Shankar along with senior officials of the Delhi Traffic Police.

Bata heralds the first quarter with a positive outlook

Bata India reported 8,821 million in Net Sales and 1,555 million in profit before tax for the first quarter of the current financial year, clocking an increase of 11% and 22% respectively over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The growth is attributed to successful execution of “Sweeping Angela Off Her Feet” strategy.
