Blackberrys Casuale launches Knitalia

Menswear fashion brand Blackberrys Casuale has set a new milestone with the launch of Knitalia, India’s first 100 % Cotton Knitted range of khaki, shirts, polos, blazers, jackets and other apparels. Ruby General Hospital steps into 25th year of service

Ruby General Hospital has stepped into its 25th year of service. Dr. Kamal K. Dutta, Chairman and Managing Director has announced a further expansion of one lakh square feet area which will include an additional 250 beds. An organ Transplant unit has also been planned including a Bone Marrow transplant unit. This Rs. 75 crore project is expected to be completed within October, 2020. Dr. Dutta had made a special announcement and launched a special scholarship program ‘DIPTI’, wherein, Rs. 15 lakh will be awarded annually to the deserving meritorious students and every year 20 post secondary students from economically weak background will be selected by a seven member panel and provided a monthly scholarship for supporting their education for the standard eleven and twelve. Each student will be awarded Rs. 75,000/- only, during the two years tenure.

IIT Kharagpur collaborates with Jindal Stainless

IIT Kharagpur and Jindal Stainless have tied-up to introduce a 3-credit course on stainless steel and advanced ferrous alloys. Dr. Rahul Mitra, Head of Department, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, IIT Kharagpur said, “We are pleased to announce the approval of the senate for introducing this elective course. The curriculum shall focus on detailed study of different aspects of stainless steel and ferrous alloys.” Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless said, “As pioneers of stainless steel in India, we are propelling a new transformation among youths through our country’s premier institutes.”

Berger Paints and Indian Army collaborated for ‘GO GREEN’ initiative

Berger Paints India Ltd collaborated with Indian Army for ‘GO GREEN’ initiative to create awareness to make Kolkata green and eco-friendly. Lt. General MM Naravane and his wife Veena Naravane graced the occasion along with Sudhir Nair, General Manager, Marketing, Berger Paints India Limited. ‘Go Green Exhibition Mela’ was also organised around the same occasion at Fort William Stadium. Sudhir Nair said, “The concern that the Indian army had regarding the environment seemed to be parallel to Berger Paint’s precept of creating a sustainable ecosystem through an array of eco-friendly products.”
