Turiya Talks, Season 5, Episode 5 : Influencer Marketing Post covid-19 and Future of the Food Industry

The 5th episode of TuriyaTalks season 5, held on 12th September, 2020 was on the topic “Influencer Marketing Post covid-19 and Future of the Food Industry”. The guest of the session was Mr. Indrajit Lahiri, a Food Blogger, YouTuber and a Public Speaker, who talked about his journey of Foodka and Mohamushkil and motivated influencers to stay positive during this pandemic. The host was Sandhya Sutodia, Co-founder of Turiya Communications.

Mr Lahiri said, “This is the time that will be documented in times of history. The way people survived and led their lives during the pandemic, will all be a slice of history.” Initially he started with Orkut and Facebook and gradually updated himself and started with blogging in 2014. He mentioned ways to tackle the difficult times faced by various food industries and stay positive.

“This year is the year of survival. We have to keep hold of it”, said Mr Lahiri. He gave several tips to his influencers to achieve great results. He also recommended on what kind of food one should have during the pandemic and motivated people to go out and eat without fear but with proper precautions. He also talked about the future that food blogging holds.

Mr Indrajit said, “Blogging is like a newspaper. It builds your portfolio.” According to him every food is healthy. He talked about how Foodka became successful and popular. He discussed about both positive side and negative side of eating food in restaurants and streets. Street food has its own charm and pocket friendly.

At last he concluded by saying “A hungry man or a hungry woman will not ask you where the food is coming from, he or she would be concerned about if the food is coming to him or not”.
