P. C. Chandra Group has recently organised P. C. Chandra Puraskaar, the annual national award 2019. This award was conferred upon one of India’s most reputed cardiac surgeons and humanitarian Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre. Swami Suviranandaji Maharaj, the General Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and gave away the award. A.K. Chandra, Managing Director, PC Chandra Group, Aurobindo Auddy, Managing Director, Chandras’ Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd. were present at that day. Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty is known as ‘The Man with Divine hands’ for his enormous contribution to cardiac surgeries. Speaking on the occasion, A.K. Chandra, Managing Director, P.C. Chandra Group said, “This year’s Puraskaar is special as we are celebrating 125th birth anniversary of our founding father late Purna Chandra Chandra. We are also completing 80 years of the company.”
