Humanity is the basic mantra of our constitution
13:30 pm

Chandrima Bhattacharya

Minister of State for Law & Health, Govt. of West Bengal

I welcome you all to the state of West Bengal and I am thankful that the organisers have chosen our state for this esteemed confluence. I was hearing the last speaker explain about Bharat and it is true that the traits of unity in diversity is unique to our country. I entirely agree that spirituality, power, and humanity are the basic mantras of Bharat and if you are really preaching humanity, it is from this soil that the voice should rise and the world will follow it in future.

Humanity is the basic mantra of our constitution. Whatever we do as an Indian citizen is really based on humanity. So the more we learn about it, the more we feel its existence within ourselves. I don’t think that I have reached the level needed to contribute to this confluence, but I feel that humanity and spirituality are the foundations of our existence. I thank the organisers for giving me the opportunity to come to this programme. Our Chief Minister is also very happy that people from all over the world have chosen this soil to hold confluences. I thank you all on her behalf as well.
