Welcome address by Dr. H. P. Kanoria on the 15th World Confluence of Humanity, Power and Spirituality on 27th December 2024

Good Morning. Jai Bharat. Jai Vishwa.

Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Respected Hon’ble Shri Ramnath Kovind, Former President of India, I express my heartfelt gratitude to you for your gracious presence at this Confluence to enlighten us. Your deliverance and presence will ignite spirituality, humanity, harmony, unity in diversity, simplicity and cooperative spirit. 

I express my gratitude to all the eminent speakers and dignitaries for their presence and participation.

The Universe is manifestation of God. God is our cosmic universal father, mother and friend. God was alone. He was feeling lonely. He said, “I am one, let there be many.” Ekoham Bahusyam -  God has manifested us in His own image. We are unit of His cosmic divine intelligence. We are perfect and divine. God is seated in the hearts of all beings. God is the force, wisdom and intellect within us. Universe is unity with diversity.

Lord Krishna said, “The entire Universe has been manifested from Me. All beings are dependent on Me, but I am not dependent on them.” Maya Tat Midam- 

God is omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. God is everywhere and in everything. Truth, eternal order, austerity, simplicity, hard work with devotion, humility and humanity, upholding Mother Earth to give us bounty to live a full span of life happily and unite amidst diversity in grace, free from ego.

Religion consists in realisation. It makes human more humane, more ethical assisting in self – development and self – salvation. Science has proved that physical individuality is a delusion. 

Science is in finding unity. Its goal is to reach a perfect unity. Chemistry’s goal is to discover one element out of which all others could be made. Physics discovers one energy of which all others are but manifestation. Science of religion becomes perfect when it would discover Him. One who is the only soul of which all souls are but delusive manifestation.

Swami Vivekananda opined that science and spirituality both are intertwined. Science provides opportunities for humans to explore own potential and use the power of knowledge for constructive purpose. Science explore the components of material nature. Swami Vivekananda said, “Science deals with how and spirituality deals with why. Science is the study of material world and spirituality is the study of immaterial world. Science is based on observation and experimentation.

Spiri-tuality is based on faith and intuition. It deals with mind and spirit.” Spirituality infuses the elements of balance and happy living  in the physical and mental state. Life is balanced.One overcome storms of life with courage and joy. It gives the depth of intelligence and intuition to cross the ocean of problems. God conspires with a person who works righteously with the true spirit of Almighty. Swami Vivekananda said that if we give up spirituality, the result will be that in three generations we will extinct.

Coordination of science and religion will bring more Universal Justice to the ethical issues in human action in light of scientific progress. Ethical issues can act as common ground for science and religion. The synthesis of science and spirituality will benefit humanity. Lord Krishna said to Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita “Whatever actions a great man performs common man follows and whatever standards he sets by exemplary acts, all the world pursues it.”

Charles Townes said “I look at science and religion as both working on the same problem, namely the understanding of what our universe and our life are all about. They will meet and join in a close knit way.”

Let us march ahead with determination keeping high the flag of humanity and science in spirituality to explore the material world and to manifest divinity for harmony and peace believing in the essence of all religions in cosmic cooperation and co – existence. God calls, “O Children realise, All in One, One in All.”
