JITO Connect 2018: Encouraging business and entrepreneurship

Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), a worldwide organization of Jain businessmen, industrialists, knowledge workers and professionals organised JITO CONNECT 2018, a three-day event that focused on a conclave, business networking and a trade fair, Chennai from February 23 to 25, 2018. Mr. Banwarilal Purohit, Honb’le Governor of Tamilnadu and Mr. E.K. Palaniswamy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu along with Smt Smriti Irani Hon’ble Minister for Textiles and Information and Broadcasting Minister, Govt of India inaugurated the event.

Speaking about the initiative Narendra Srisrimal, Chairman, Chennai Chapter said,“More than 3000 delegates from all over India and 150 delegates from 25 countries across the world and over 1 lakh people participated in the conclave and trade fair.”

The 3-day event saw discussions on Success Mantra, Lessons on Faith & Business, How to become a business magnet and magnate in 2018 and beyond, involving International Life Coach,Gaurgopal Das, Himanshu Kohli, from Client Associates, Anil B Jain, CEO, Jain Irrigation, NatchiketMor, Director, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, India Country andKavikrut, Co-founder of OYO Rooms.

Shashi Tharoor – MP of the Lok Sabha and Sunil Singhi, Member – National Committee for Minorities, Govt of India were present at the inauguration of the very first JITO Youth Conference and Convention. This was followed by a session on the topic - Imprinting your futureacy. The speakers present were Pooja Jain Gupta, MD – Luxor Group, Deepinder Goyal – Zomato, Prashant – Grofers, Harshavardhan – Lending Kart, Kaushal Dugar – Tea Box and MithunSacheti from Caratlane.

After this was an interesting session on Managing Inheritance: The Pride & the Promise. The speakers at this session wereSuneeta Reddy, Managing Director – Apollo Hospitals, Rishi Darda, MD – Lokmat group, Rahul MammenMappillai, MD – MRF and well renowned politician Aditya Thackeray.

Bollywood actorsVivek Oberoi who was there to address the youth, took experiences from his own life and spoke about always believing in oneself and never giving up, while Shilpa Shetty, who on the other hand was there to address the Ladies Wing of JITO, spoke about never taking health for granted and always taking care of oneself. She also spoke about empowering women.
