KIIT becomes an Institute of Eminence

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has attributed the ‘Institute of Eminence’ (IoE) tag to Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University. KIIT is just 22 years old as an institution for professional education and 15 years old as a university. Despite being a very young university, it has secured an impressive position in various university rankings.

Five top public universities namely Delhi University, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, University of Hyderabad and the Benaras Hindu University have got the IoE tag. KIIT is among seven significant private universities to
get the IoE tag.

Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT &  Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has given the credit to Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank, Minister, HRD and Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha for the recognition. It is considered as a matter of pride for the state of Odisha as KIIT is the only institute from the state to recieve this recognition.
