The seven chakras are the energy centres of our body where energy comes together and flows freely. It begins at the base of the spine and finishes at the apex of our head.
The Sushumna stands for the spinal cord and the brain. There are two winding nervous trunks circling the spinal cord – Ida and Pingala. These centres or the chakras control different parts of the body. Each chakra vibrates or rotates at a different speed. The root or first chakra rotates at the slowest speed and the crown or seventh chakra rotates at the highest speed.
If the chakras are not balanced, energy gets blocked and life force slows down. It not only impacts the physical functions but also the mind and the thought process. A constant balance between the chakras promotes sound health and a sense of well-being.
