UK India Business Council signs an MoU with the Government of West Bengal

UK India Business Council (UKIBC) signed an MoU with the Government of West Bengal at the Bengal Global Business Summit 2019 formalising its shared commitment to deliver UK business, investment, and economic growth in West Bengal. According to UKIBC’s ‘Doing Business in India 2018 Report: The UK Perspective’, 25% of UK businesses intending to enter and expand into India in the next 12 months are looking towards Eastern States such as West Bengal. UKIBC thinks that West Bengal’s strategic location is a gateway to North East India and ASEAN countries, prompting immense trade infrastructure development plans in the years to come.

9th edition of PhotoMarathon by Canon

Canon India hosted its 9th edition of the most coveted live photo contest, Canon PhotoMarathon for the first time in Kolkata. After successful editions in the past, Canon hosted the competition for the first time in East India at Science City Auditorium, Kolkata and was fagged off by Eddie Udagawa, Vice President, Consumer Imaging & Information Centre. The theme based day long photography saw participation from over 500 participants who showcased their skills to compete for exciting prizes. Deemed as one of the largest photo competitions, the event brings photography enthusiast closure while challenging them to push their boundaries and showcase their photography creativity.

NSHM Knowledge campus hosts NATCONPH 2019

NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata organised the 10th edition of its annual conference on Pharmacy and Healthcare, NATCONPH 2019 at Science City auditorium. The conference focused on the necessity of collaborative health sciences with special attention to advances in pharmaceutical and allied healthcare industries. SAIL’s Bettiah Steel Processing Unit dedicated to Nation

Chaudhary Birender Singh, Union Steel Minister and Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution dedicated SAIL’s Steel Processing Unit situated at Bettiah in West Champaran, Bihar to the Nation. High quality steel tubes and pipes will be produced by this Unit. Sushil Modi, Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar, Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, MP, West Champaran, RS Pande, MLA, Bagha Vidhan Sabha constituency and Prakash Rai, MLA, Chanpatiya Vidhan Sabha Constituency, Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman, SAIL, Puneet Kansal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel were presenton this occasion. Starting under the supervision of SAIL-Bokaro steel plant this SPU has an installed capacity of 50,000 tonnes yearly and is being set up at an estimated cost of `116 crore with technical expertise from SAIL’s Bokaro and Rourkela Steel Plant.
