KONE Elevator India introduces health and wellbeing solutions

KONE Elevator India has introduced a suite of people flow solutions to help buildings and cities to be safer and healthier places to live, work and commute. Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) reported its financial result

Jindal Stainless Limited (JSL) reported its financial result for the year ended March 31, 2020. The Company recorded FY19-20 Profit After Tax (PAT) at `153 crore as compared to `139 crore over the corresponding period last year (CPLY), registering an increase of 10%. On a yearly basis, the Company recorded the highest ever stainless steel production at 973,995 MT. Abhyuday Jindal, MD, JSL said “The domestic stainless steel industry, which has long required relief from imports from ASEAN and FTA countries, has both the capacity and the capability to cater to Indian demand. We are hopeful for affirmative government action under the Atmanirbhar package.”

Innisfree and Laneige launch first outpost in Kolkata

Innisfree, the Korean naturalism brand from the pristine Jeju Island, South Korea along with the Korean skincare brand, Laneige launches in Kolkata at Lifestyle Store, Quest Mall with their foot-print in Eastern India together. Amazon.in launches the ‘School from Home’ store


Amazon.in announced the launch of a ‘School from Home’ store that offers a wide selection of products across study and writing essentials, stationery, laptops, tablets and PCs, bookshelves, study lamps, headsets and speakers, printer and home furnishing among others. The store has been created this to simplify the shopping experience for parents. Recent search trends on Amazon.in show a surge in products such as over 2X increase for laptops and tablets, nearly 1.2X increase for stationery, over 2X increase for mouse and keyboards, 1.3X increase for printer, over 3X increase for routers and 2.5X increase for study table.


Maruti Suzuki partners with Mahindra Finance


Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has joined hands with Mahindra Finance to ease the finance availability. Under the tie up, Maruti Suzuki customers can avail wide options including Buy now and pay later - moratorium scheme of two months, Step up EMI - step up option at frequency of six months, Balloon EMI - customer has to pay 25% of the contract value as last EMI etc. Shashank Srivastava, ED (M&S), Maruti Suzuki India said that more than one-third of Maruti Suzuki’s retail sales come from rural India and Mahindra Finance is a well networked NBFC with an expertise in the segment to help their customers. Ramesh Iyer, MD, Mahindra Finance commented, “We believe that demand in rural will revive the fastest on the backdrop of a good monsoon expectation and less impact of the current pandemic.”


Omron Healthcare India joins hands with Lupin


Omron Healthcare India, a healthcare monitoring brand in the country, and Lupin Limited, a global pharma company announced a long-term strategic alliance to strengthen respiratory disease management facilities in India focusing on Asthma and COPD patients. Rajeev Sibal, President, India Region Formulations - Lupin Limited said, “This MoU will usher a new era in terms of improving awareness, diagnosis, adherence and drug delivery.” Masanori Matsubara, MD, OMRON Healthcare India said “This joint endeavour is significant in the direction of achieving OMRON’s ‘Zero Asthma Events’ vision for India. Microsoft announces programme for agritech start-ups


Microsoft announced the launch of a programme for agritech start-ups in India to help them build industry-specific solutions, scale and grow with access to deep technology, business and marketing resources. Sangeeta Bavi, Director, Start-up Ecosystem - Microsoft India said, “Agritech start-up innovations are addressing some of our key challenges connected to agriculture and food production. The Microsoft for Agritech Start-ups programme is among the early steps in our journey towards empowering them and transforming global agricultural practices.” Through the programme, start-ups can also get access to Azure FarmBeats that enables aggregation of agricultural datasets across providers and generation of actionable insights by building AI/ML models based on fused datasets.
