SREI foundation organised a seminar on Prevention of Crimes: Awareness, Rebuilding of lives, Rehabilitation on July 13, 2018 at Vivekananda Hall, Ballygunje in the presence of H.P. Kanoria, Chairman, SREI Foundation. Shitaram Sharma, honorary consul of Republic of Belarus, Chairman, WEBFUNA, and Pranay Dutta, Sonata Foundation also shared their views on the growing rate of crimes and drug addiction in the country. Rahul Varma gave a presentation on social impact initiatives in the seminar. Ajaya Mukul Ranade, IPS, Inspector General, CID, Govt. of India and Dilip Shrivastava, Zonal director, Narcotics Control Bureau addressed on how the rate of drug addiction can be controlled by social awareness.
Panelists of the seminar were Swami Kripakarananda, Ramkrishna Seva Pratisthan, H.H Princess Maria Amor D.D, Founder President, We Care for Humanity, USA, Alakananda Roy, eminent danseuse and social activist, Mamata Ray, principle, Bethune College, and Mira Pandey, former Chief, Election Commission, West Bengal. They shared their personal experiences and views on different kinds of crimes emerging on the young generation of not just India but Worldwide.
